okay food...but failed to meet high expectations

Wednesday, June 08, 2005
My fried eggs with hanger steak and garbanzo beans were pleasing to the palate but both not as good as the fried eggs and garbanzo beans that my husband, who is from the Mediterranean, makes and definately not stellar enough to be worth $14. I laughed when my husband's hamburger came out--a piece of meat on square foccacia bread...for $11. Granted, the pickled onions were tasty and my husband adored the burger, but I still found it somewhat comical. We shared dessert--blueberry tart with ice cram and the gateau victoire. The tart was average and the gateau victoire, on the contrary, was definately not a victory and is better to be avoided! Overall, an okay meal. However, until the quality of food meets up to match it's price, I would recommend going somewhere else. Pros: quaint, burger Cons: price, cramped
