This place has it all! The mOnterey Sports center has something for everyone in the family. The state of the art cardiovascular and weight-lifting equipment is sure to please everyone, from a beginner to an accomplished athlete. They also offer a women's only work-out room, which is a big plus for women who enjoy working out in a smaller, less intimidating environment. The Monterey Sports Center offers a large variety of classes as well, such as aerobics, cycling, martial arts, etc. There are two swimming pools as well, one mainly for children, the other primarily for adults. They also have hours set aside for adult use only for the pools (usually during the afternoon during weekdays). The sun deck next to the pools is a great spot to get away to and is usually uncrowded. There is also a gym with basketball courts, a volley ball net and track. To make it even more convenient, they also have a snack bar with treats to help you stay active! The men's and womens locker rooms are always clean and attended too. For families, there is a separtate, indiviual family changing room, to make it easier. There is also a daycare available with convenient hours. Parking is very easy to come by here, and the admission price is very reasonable, with a discount given to Monterey city residents. Memberships are also available. This is a great place to get all your excersize done. There is always something to do here!
