We chose the pilot-house for our first wedding anniversary dinner because of the location overlooking the sound. Despite the fact that our waiter was rude, impatient and forgetful, it was definitely the food and drinks that ruined the evening. The waiter forgot us immediately after we ordered and never even offered to take my drink order. 20 minutes after our order was taken, the waiter brings me a disgusting display of overcooked tuna, soggy vegetables and hushpuppies. When I mentioned that the kitchen did not cook the food to my specifications, I was told the dish would be removed from my bill. I assumed that this $21 atrocity would be removed from my bill but soon discovered that my discontent was only worth $6.50. (A 10% reduction from the entire bill). My husband tells me that the ribs were an embarrassment to the Carolina-style with sauce out of a bottle.
