Whenever I go to the Richmond, I always eat at Burma Superstar. I'm sure there are other good restaurants nearby, but I always end up at Burma because it's the perfect intimate neighborhood restaurant with wonderful dishes that are hard to find elsewhere. As a vegetarian I find the Superstar noodles, sauteed pea shoots with garlic, tea leaf salad, coconut rice, and samusas to be delicious beyond words. Ginger lemonade and sangria are very tasty. Yes, the service can be slow at times but the staff is consistently gracious. On nights when it's really packed, you'll wait a long time for a table. If you have a cell phone, leave your number on the list and go get a drink at one of the local bars. It's really worth the wait. Or check this restaurant out during off-hours when it's not crowded.
