Incanto Disenchants

Wednesday, November 23, 2005
The room feels like a fake Italian farm house that you would find in Disneyland. The food unfurtanely is as fake as the decor. Yes some dishes can be tasty but the chef is more interested in doing creative ingredient combinations than on how the food tastes. Italian food is about simplicity and not having to use too many ingredients, had the chef left my ravioli with just broth and not added leaves of arugula, it would have been very good, but not he has to go adding extra stuff to make it look pretty. Wine list is the only saving grace of this restaurant. Too bad, the servers are clueless about the list. For the same price, cross the bridge and go to Olivetto instead to get true Italian food and not Cal-Italian. Pros: wine list Cons: food, service, atmosphere
