poor treatment of senior citizens at Rite Aid 11/22/2005

My mother went to the Rite Aid pharmacy at Lindbergh Blvd (after a phone call was made for her by her support aide for her daughter who has significant disabilities) to pick up two prescriptions one was for herself and the other for her daughter. She was told that the medication was ready to be picked up. Once she got to the pharmacy she was told by the pharmicist that no one called and the medication was not there. So she asked if they could order her daughter's seizure medication while she waited for them to fill another prescription for her own medication. While she waited and waited over 40 minutes she went back to the pharmacy counter where the technicians and pharmacist (Sheelita Gaskins, Crystal and another very large woman) told her that she never gave them a prescription and that she never asked them to order the medication for her daughter. My mother is 65 years old so she began to think that maybe she didn't give them the prescription and that she was losing her mind. more
