We love the food here, especially the vegetarian and seafood dishes. It really is some of the best Indian food in Los Angeles. And it's true the staff/owner does recognize regulars, making it feel like your cozy neighborhood place. However I was truly embarrassed when I brought a party of 10 people here last year, and the owner and waiter rushed us out of there at 9:30pm--I guess they wanted to leave. My guests were from Europe, where they are accustomed to having a long meal, and they were shocked. This was truly disappointing, and has prevented me from coming back, except for the ocassional take-out. Another criticism is that the decor is outdated, and they could use some soft ambient music--the silence can be awkard.
