We stumbled on the Steps of Rome Trattoria this spring only beacause they offered outside seating and we had our new puppy with us, the Host Piero is THE BEST!! He's very good looking and can make any group of women have a blast! I live in Sacramento and my girlfriends and I will drive to the city JUST to go to Steps of Rome, the food is great and the service is fast and friendly. I have been to both Steps of Rome and I would definitely suggest the trattoria because of the atmosphere and Piero :) the other Steps is good if you want loud music and large groups of people. you may have to wait a bit if you have more than 4 people b/c of the size of the restaurant but you will have great scenery out front if you are waiting at night.
