If you've come here you're probably going to Hearts Castle, so are you really that interested in a fancy hotel room? There ae very few bona fide oceanview hotels in the Cambria/San Simeon area, and they are very expensive. This Motel 6 is the first I have ever seen with an attached restaurant. The Castle Cafe is a great bargain, convenient and never crowded as it is almost invisible from Route 1. The room are small but clean and modern, far back enough from the road to be quiet. Highly recommended.
