Good food but too pretentious

Wednesday, August 06, 2003
The sushi at Nishino's is really very good. Try the albacore tartare with ginger salsa. The service is attentive and knowledgable. There is, however, an air of pretentiousness about the place. I didn't appreciate being asked if I had a reservation when the same question was not asked of the "super model" couple ahead of me and the restaurant was barely half full. The prices were reasonable considering the excellent quality of fish. The restaurant had a nice ambience. Good for dates. Pros: Good food, ambience Cons: pretentiousness, parking
