I'm married to a Thai woman and spend a minimum of 2 months, each year, in Bangkok. Because of our situation, everyone asks ""what's 'real' Thai?"" We have been looking for such a place Portland, to share Thai cuisine.
Because of the raves, and claims of the ""real deal"", we tried Aroy. Unfortunately, although tasty ""asian"" take out, the cuisine is far from authentic Thai. It's more a Chinese variant, complete with chopsticks!
Aroy (delicious) maybe; Authentic Thai,... not!
Pros: Cheap, fast, friendly
Cons: not Thai, no parking
