...the Crowne Plaza is worth a try for much $ less than nearby hotels. Our room had a panoramic view over the Ct. River, and the traffic noise below was muffled by our windows and drapes. The room itself was spotless and quiet, with nice touches like a coffeemaker. It's easy to walk to downtown Hartford sights and restaurants. Also, the bountiful breakfast buffet was a nice treat. Service was efficient at the desk and in the restaurant, and the hotel provides a free shuttle van to area attractions.
