I beg to differ with this lady. The food is deep cajun style, dark rous and spicy rich flavors. The jambalaya is either chicken or seafood and it is drenched in creole sauce, which I have had many times and never pushed it away. The service is usually great, I guess sometimes someone may have had a bad day and not be in the best spirits, but the feeling is always comfortable. I thouroughly enjoy eating the food of Billy and Brenda McGowan, and on a personal level, they are wonderful people. I would describe this as a little slice of heaven situated nicely in austin- bringing us traditional cajun creole tastes with down home feelings. Also, the piano player (Friday and Saturday nights), Nick, puts out some great sounds that anyone would enjoy.
