Best non-commercial ice cream

My family has been going to Mitchell's for over 20 years. I am an S.F. native and when friends or relatives from out of town come to visit, I always take them there! Even their ice cream cakes are to die for! We ran into Benjamin Bratt there once (he is also an S.F. native)! The secret is out, it's no longer just a San Franciscan secret!
Pros: number system, on the corner, easy to find
Cons: parking sucks, small store, packed all hours
