When you've flown nearly 6000 miles, the last thing your thirsty traveller needs is a pretentious drinking den populated by plastic people drinking extravagantly named alcopops. Fortunately, The Comet provides the remedy for this with its refreshingly convivial environment which is a great hang-out for a beer at any time, with friendly staff and customers providing a relaxed and informal atmosphere. It's also a great place to practice the fine art of pool. In fact, I'd say half the people I visit in Seattle I originally met in The Comet! Very reminiscent of my local at home - The Old Market Inn in Kettering, England. I arrive in your fair city on July 23rd 2002. Mine's a Hales!
Pros: hassle free, fun, genuine
Cons: on a big hill
