I had to smirk in agreement with the last review. Not so much in reference to the service, but to the quality of the food. We had heard good things about Val's, so we were curious to try it. Saying it is like your average (and I underline the word AVERAGE) greasy spoon hits the nail on the head. Certainly nothing special. Mae's is definitely better, and the Salmon Bay Cafe is about as good as it gets (especially if you're looking for a loaded omelette).
