Great Vietnamese vittles!

Thursday, December 12, 2002
Dined at Vietnam II twice in the last week. First stop grabbed the beef pho and spring rolls. The pho was a HUGE steaming bowl of delicate broth and rice noodles laden with slices of flank steak, tripe and other goodies. Add some jalapenos, mint leaves and lime and you've got yourself a meal. The spring rolls were very fresh with a nice balance of pork and veggies. My second visit was prompted by ads for their crab special. $9.95 gets you a 1.5 lb dungeness crab in a spicy garlic sauce. The crab was sweet and fresh, just pulled from the tank and the sauce was like a lobster sauce but spicier. A side of garlic noodles completed the meal, yummy! If you like Vietnamese food, take a stroll down on Larkin. While there are many choices, Vietnam II will not dissapoint you! Pros: Efficient Service, Great Eats, Low Prices Cons: None Found Yet
