Carmen's is a true local Azusa favorite. It's not fancy, it's very casual and inexpensive; my kids like it , and they never agree on anything. The food is pretty fundamental - tacos, tamales, etc. The menu is pretty short, nothing elaborate.... Give it a try when you don't feel like cooking on a weekend. I'm told the lunches are worthwhile (by my teenager, for whatever that's worth)...
One thing to watch for is the lady who always seems to be waiting tables there (I think she's the owner). She is very hurried and impatient, almost comically so. Don't take it personally, it's part of the ambiance of this little charmer....
