Whenever my husband and I find ourselves in downtown San Jose, we always end up at Katies for a drink. The bar is fairly large with a lot hide-away booths/tables to sit at. The jukebox is great, the service is great (very friendly, down-to-earth), and I love the overall atmosphere. My only complaint is that there's rarely any food being served, if any at all. They used to a long time ago, but they've only served food a few times these past few years. San Jose's sister pub, Katie Blooms in Campbell, serves food, but that atmosphere there is just not the same. Great place to hang out!
