True, the waiters won't hold your hand. Who cares, we come here for the food - nothing flashy, just fresh and expertly prepared. I know it's environmentally incorrect but I highly recommend any sea bass entree; they don't overcook it like Spengers. Grouper and Sturgeon are excellent when available. Pork chops and lamb chops are also very nicely grilled and are good values. Great cioppino too. If you want to be coddled by your waiter you're in the wrong place, however, they are professional and much better than the horror story reviews you may read. Anyway, eat here a few times and they'll warm up to you (and vice versa).
Pros: great seafood, attentive bartenders, not for everyone
Cons: no reservations, some items too $$$$, not for everyone
