I've been dealing with repair shops "working" on my car for many years all to abysmal results. Then I brought car here to find out why:
Gene, and I think appropriately, advised me that my car was simply not worth the $1500-$2500 worth of parts and labor that it would cost to repair it's problems as well as telling me it was a terrible safety risk. Not that I didn't recognize these facts myself but any other shop I think would have "taken the money and run" as the old saying goes.
So perhaps Gene and his staff were acting selfishly in saving themselves from working on my clunker but I'm choosing to take the side that he had the integrity to tell it to me straight despite the economic disadvantage it placed him in.
I will be working with him and his shop in the future.
