The name belies the modern interior, bathed in low lighting and the sound of a running waterfall at the entrance. Sushi sells by the piece and is artfully presented on Japanese flatware. Rolls are delicious and vary in degree of exoticism, from the California roll to the Mount Fuji roll, salmon and tuna mixed with chili-infused cream wrapped in seaweed. Non-sushi eaters find plenty of choices between fried soft-shell crab and beef tataki.

Though parking lots aren't normally beautiful, Mercedes Benzes and tan, blond, gorgeous creatures populate this one, making it worth the whiff of exhaust.
