A Unique Bubble-Tea Experience! 8/10/2005

Ever had bubble-tea? Bubble tea is tea (usually flavored with unique flavors like Taro, Chocolate, Cinnamon, Banana, Oreo, etc) with tapioca balls at the bottom. You can mix and match various flavors to come up with flavors like "Chocolate Covered Banana" and "Vanilla Cookie." You can drink it hot, but its usually served called. And you are given a big fat straw, so you can suck up the tapioca balls as you drink the tea. Sound strange enough? I thought so. However, if you are near Penn's law school and feeling daring, this place is worth visiting! Not only do they serve tea, but contrary to popular belief, Bubble House is actually a sit down restaurant. Their menu is limited to a few salads and entrees but still worth a look. I recommend trying their sweet potato fries, which are absolutely delicious! You can sit upstairs at their tables or downstairs at their cosy couch and relax area. So, grab a bubble tea, some yummy fries and go down there with your class reading for a unique experience. If anything else, at least you can say you've finally tried that fad all your friends keep talking about, "bubble tea." more
