EVERY book they sell is pre-censored so if you are into that then this is the place for you. However, if you want books that have not been filtered to only allow for the very dull and mundane shop elsewhere.

Call me uncultured or uncouth but this museum is horrible. Yes it has a good deal of modern art, but some of it is just ridiculous. I don’t believe that art needs to necessarily represent reality, but it needs to represent something, show something…and most of the art here misses that. The time I went there was an exhibit on Genital mutilation, and suffice to say I was not eterntained. Not to mention admission is expensive and the line is allways long.

No AC or anything so keep in mind during the summer its hot, though you can golf from the bottom range if it is raining. However, the ball picker upper cart doesn’t come to often so there is no fun trying to hit a moving target.

I was a student from K-12 at JEC and I’m not sure if a short review can do justice. As a quick summary JEC is similar to Kushner, TABC, Frisch and the such. The differences perhaps lie in a generally smaller class size and the leadership (which at this time is Rav and Rabbi Teitz). Teachers vary per grade, some are more modern and from Elizabeth while others are imported from Lakewood and are more yeshivash. The only way to truly know if this school is for you is to visit the school and then to meet with one or two students there and ask them frankly what they think.

A nice small practice in a easily accessible area (right off the Staten Island expressway). The receptionists are always nice and courteous, and I usually wait less than 10 minutes before being seen. Although I don’t think I have ever had the same dental assistant (there seems to be a high turnover rate) my teeth seem healthy as ever and Dr Israel is friendly doctor while he drills….now if only they got the sanding drill which doesn’t make that sound!

This museum more than any other art museum, has it all. It has the most ancient art from Mesopotamia to modernist white dots on a black canvas. My personal favorite parts are the ancient art, they even imported an Egyptian temple. Also, it is also a pseudo history museum, each part of the ancient temples come with a detailed explanation. In the museum there is plenty of sitting area where you can just sit and stare at the sculptures or paintings. Best of all admission is free (though a donation is encouraged) so students go for free and remember the museum when you are a rich philanthropist!
