My daughter was looking for something different to try and after looking through the directory of available classes, decided upon the Introduction to Fencing classes.
The fees for the Community Education Classes are very reasonable for the length of the course and they offer small class size for individual attention.
The Intro to Fencing class was a wonderful exercise both mentally and physically. The students were challenged physically to get the correct moves and mentally to remember the proper steps and memorize the right movements.
Encouragement was offered and the tournaments held at the end of the course were delightful for both the participants and the people watching them.
If you're looking for something different, you ought to try Intro to Fencing at the RCEC.

I helped organize the photography for my best friend's wedding and after looking dozens of photographer's samples and proof sheets, it was clear that MJ Daniels was the hands down most innovative at the most reasonable price.
There were shots at the church, we went back to the studio with several different outdoor props and shots and the highlight of the shoot was the profile shot of the bride and groom in a "sunset" setting. Absolutely gorgeous.
They never rushed, weren't intrusive during the ceremony and they made sure that every shot that was requested got taken.
Turn around time was fast and the final album was breathtaking.

Chuck A Burger is known for it's Cruisin' Nights, in which souped up Hot Rods and live bands are the stars for the evening.
As famous for these as their hamburgers and deliciously thick shakes, anyone wanting to see some neat Mustangs, GTO's and Challengers plus every other kind of muscle car you can imagine, should come to Chuck A Burger.
The food is car hopped or it has a smaller restaurant for a sit down meal. We like to order the cheeseburgers, fries and strawberry and/or chocolate shakes.
The prices are reasonable and the servers are as friendly as can be.

Not wanting to use the school photographer, we went to McCarty Photography and were very pleased with the prices, backgrounds and the way that they put every one at ease.
We received the proofs quickly, were allowed to take our time in picking them out and once we made the order, received them promptly.
The photography staff didn't rush between backgrounds and let us make suggestions without laughing at some of our silly, but personal requests.
We definitely recommend McCarty for any photography needs.

We were looking for a Jeep to replace one that had been totalled in an accident.
Immediately upon exiting our vehicle, we were approached by a salesperson and even though we advised that we were just looking, were followed throughout the lot.
Every vehicle we slowed down to look at was "the one" according to the salesman. After just 10 minutes of looking, we told him that we didn't think that there was anything we'd be interested in.
We tried to leave, but the salesperson kept trying to get our name and other information so that he could call us with any Jeep information he could find for us.
I finally told him that we just weren't interested and we were able to leave.
Despite the huge inventory, we were pestered so much that we immediately crossed this location off of our list.
If you can overcome the salesmen, there is a huge lot of vehicles in which you might find the perfect car. We weren't able to do so.

After an exhaustive look to replace our Jeep that had been totalled in an accident, we came to Landmark and were totally surprised by their no pressure, customer oriented service.
They asked if they could help us and when we told them we were just looking, they left us alone! We were able to find what we were looking for and then when we needed their assistance, they immediately offered it.
We told them immediately that what we were willing to pay and asked to see the dealer invoice. We had trouble at other Jeep Dealers with this request, but the Sales Manager had no qualms at all about letting us see the invoice and negotiating a price from there.
It was a pain free experience and within half an hour of negotiating a price, we left with asigned contract for a vehicle to be picked up the next day.
They offered to finance, but we'd already gotten a loan with our Credit Union. There was no pressure to get an extended warranty, the sealant and all the extras that normally come with an auto sale.
Our salesman called early the next morning to let us know that our car was ready and when we arrived it was waiting for us with a full tank of gas, touch up paint and they even gave us the Jeep branded floormats we'd been contemplating purchasing.
Overall, no pressure+great prices=very happy customers who will be back again!

The Muny in Forest Park is a great way to spend a summer evening.
For a reasonable price (even free, if you want to sit in the free seats in the back) you'll be treated to live theater performance of top shows.
I've never been to a bad show at the Muny. No matter how hot and humid the weather may end up being, the casts always seem to be enthusiastic, well prepared and very talented.
Summertime in St. Louis would not be the same without the wonderful Muny Opera. I highly recommend going to one show or the entire season.

I hadn't been to the Historical Society since I was a child and hadn't been terribly excited about returning.
However, once inside, I was surprisingly charmed by the presentation of Missouri history and immediately taken in by the interesting exhibits and the way they were presented.
We learned about the Cholera Epidemic in the early 1900's, all about Lewis and Clark and my daughter was particularly transfixed with the replica of the Spirit of St. Louis.
The Seeking St. Louis exhibit is very interesting and just seeing some of the artifacts is in itself worth the trip.
If you're interested in a day that is educational and can intersting even to the kids, this is a place to consider.

Where can you find Clydesdale's, Bears, Bald Eagles and Kangaroos? At Grant's Farm, of course.
With the only cost being parking and any souvenirs and refreshments you buy, this is a fun economical way to spend a day.
Every employee is perfectly polite and helpful, the animals are fun and there's just something about seeing wild animals right next to a subdivision that's just plain old fun.
Historically, you get information on the Anheuser-Busch connection and you get to see a cabin that President Grant built. There is a fence around the park that is made entirely of rifle barrels from the Civil War.
After you get the tram tour through the park, you're dropped off and can go see other animals and you're even allowed to give the baby goats a bottle. (They were $1.00 the last time we went)
If the weather gets too hot, you can walk through the misters on the way to the Tiergarten where you're given 2 complimentary A/B adult beverages.
While most St. Louis area children go on field trips every year, they never get tired of coming back.
Neither do I.

As soon as you walk into the City Museum you see slides, slides and more slides! It's a wonderful museum that has something to keep your children busy both physically and mentally.
There are caves to climb through, ballpits to swim through, crafts to make and they've recently added the St. Louis Aquarium to it's venue.
When we were there, they let the kids make a clay jewelry box to take home and there was a special "circus" exhibit with a one ring circus.
I was a little worried about the security for the children, but everything was well controlled and I soon had no concerns.
My husband and I enjoyed sliding down the slides, walking through the Enchanted Caves and acting like kids ourselves for the day.
Be prepared to spend the entire day or a big chunk of it there.
