The Getty Center should be a regular stop for locals as well as tourists. Perched at the top of a hill with views from the ocean to downtown this is a gem in LA. Give yourself plenty of time to explore the various galleries as well as the amazing gardens that change with the seasons. There are several restaurants to choose from. Be sure to look into the performances that they offer (free) on weekends.
