I started at Tiger Kim's in 9th grade and continued all through high school. The owner, Master Kim, is a gentle, amiable man who runs the place with his wife. I'm not sure what degree black belt he is, but it is definitely up there.
You are never forced to sign a one or two year contract when you attend. It is for both children and adults. The place is quite large and he has all the standard equipment of punching bags, etc. to enhance the overall education.
I also took cardio kickboxing classes at Tiger Kims. I found them especially good because the instructor was trained in martial arts as opposed to simply aerobics. The workout was tremendous and I was in the best shape of my life while I was doing this.
I would highly recommend Tiger Kim's as a place to send your children if they are interested in Tae Kwon Do or as a place for an adult to go to get a good workout and learn self-defense.
