Knott’s Berry Farm doesn’t have much thrill as Magic Mountain or the fantasy atmosphere as Disneyland, but it’s still enjoyable. I don’t like the rides here as much as some other parks, but Knott’s offers history. The price is a lot cheaper than Disneyland. If you plan to visit, be sure to visit Mrs. Knott’s. The wait is extremely long, but the food there is worth it.

The Whaley House is a historical house in Old Town San Diego. It’s supposed to be haunted, but I don’t believe in ghosts. They do have a book with recordings of ghost sightings in the house. The house has small bedrooms and a tight staircase, but it also houses a miniature theater, a courthouse, and a general store. It’s a fun tourist sight, but it’s a place you’ll only visit once.

I’ve been to Anna’s Nails a couple times, mainly because it’s easily accessible. They offer manicures, pedicures, and other miscellaneous services like waxing. I’ve had a French manicure and acrylic nails done. They did a relatively decent job, but I didn’t have anything fancy done. They did massage my hands and that was nice. The prices are decent and are comparable to other nail salons in the area.

I didn’t have a high expectation of the museum before I visited it, but it turned out to be quite fun. The museum is pretty big – one of the larger ones in the park. There’s a ton of model airplanes and space equipment. They have movies you can watch, a simulation ride (I forgot of what kind of simulation), and a presentation. I missed the presentation, but it was still amazing learning about the history of flight and space.

Textmania caters to the college students from East Los Angeles College. Although it’s located in a large plaza, it is hidden because it doesn’t face the main street. They offer books at a lower price than the bookstore, but they don’t seem to have a good return policy. My sister bought a book from them but couldn’t return it and it’s still sealed. Maybe she tried returning it too late. I think you can find textbooks cheaper online.

My family has gone here for years, and with my sister on the road, we’ve been here a lot. We’ve been loyal to this place because it’s hard to find a good body shop you can trust. They’ve always done a great job in getting our cars back in shape. The prices are decent (not cheap, but not expensive either). The only bad thing about this place is the parking. The lot is small, easy to miss, and hard to come in and out of.

I believe the corsages range from $35-$50, depending on how big you like them. My mother bought a Hong Kong style bouquet for my college graduation. They fill in the bouquets with tissue paper and they individually wrap the flowers. The bouquet was exquisite. My mother told me that people came up to her during my graduation asking if they could buy it from her. Haha.

They have jewelry, hair accessories, make-up, and other miscellaneous items. They are decently priced, although the quality of jewelry and make-up is not very high.
