Six Flags Magic Mountain is the park to be for extreme rides in southern California. They are infamous for their crazy roller coasters. Six Flags can be pretty hot in the summer so it is advised that one dress lightly and keep hydrated. The lines can be long but most of the rides are worth the wait, unless it's a 4 hour wait, which happens from time to time. The attractions are fun for everybody from young to old. Funnel cake is a must at Six Flags. Rides for recommendation : Batman, X, Riddler's Revenge, and Goliath. Look out for deals and coupons from markets and restaurants.

Anaheim is home to the big theme parks : Disneyland and Knott's Berry Farm. Both have been around for a long time and have drawn millions of young and old alike. Knott's Berry Farm started off as a chicken restuarant. The owners developed rides and Knott's Berry Farm was born. The park is large and full of attractions for everyone. Knott's Berry Farm seems like a balance between Disneyland and Six Flags Magic Mountain. The rides are fun enough to be more bold than of Disneyland but not as extreme as Six Flags. Knott's Berry Farm rides are fun and their food is good.

The Getty Center is nice museum on top of the hills. To get there, you park and then take the tram up to the museum quarters. The Getty Center holds paintings, furniture, and many other works of art. There are historical artifacts and many paintings from many eras. The Getty Center also boasts of a beautiful garden area. The main attraction in the garden area is the huge maze-like structure where flowers and plants grow in a spiral position surrounded by water and other trees and plants. It is a sight to see. The Getty Center is a good choice for school functions like field trips and is also a great place to take the family.

Disneyland is truly the happiest place on earth, that is, for those of who enjoy non-threatening rides and attractions. Disneyland seems the perfect place to take the whole family or for couples. Disneyland has been the place to go for many years. The attractions are for all ages, young and old. The restaurants are a little pricey but they serve good food. The Blue Bayou, in the New Orleans themed part of the park, is a nice restuarant set by the "river" where the Pirates of the Carribean ride goes through. My personal favorite ride is the Indiana Jones ride, made after one of the movies. It is an exciting ride and most people seem to like it for it is one of the most popular rides. Wear comfy shoes and dress lightly if you go in the summer.
