Daniel is one New York's most famous restaurants. And while we're not folks who try very many of them, I can tell you that we thought Daniel deserves its place in that firmament. The setting is wonderful, the service was exemplary, and the food extraordinary. You can't ask for more than that, although I guess you should expect it from a place that charges those kinds of prices. Expect to pay $100 per person, even if you don't drink wine.

If you're into high end stationery, arts & crafts supplies (e.g. artisinal paper), photo albums, chic cards, and unique gifts (that are in some ways related to paper), you'll love Kate's. My wife, who is intererested in all of the above, is a big fan. While she thinks Kate's is slightly overpriced, their buyers have such good taste that she just can't resist and makes frequent pilgrimages.

Saigon Grill is always fast, always cheap, and always tasty. A perfect restaurant to have in your neighborhood (or in our case, close enough for delivery).
If you go, however, at a busy time, be prepared to wait. And don't plan on lingering over your food. They can only serve food this good and these prices with a fast turn over.
