Gardner Village is the most awesome collection of stores that I have ever been to!! The main mill store (Country Furniture) is chock full of furniture and home products. The other stores include a needlework store, a day spa, an art gallery, a quilt store, a candy store, and too many more to mention. Around the holidays the village is full of decorations and fun activities. If you are looking for a fun place to shop and browse in Salt Lake, this is the place to go!!

Hunan Village is a yummy Chinese food restaurant! They aren’t very busy, which is nice when you want to get seated quickly. They have really good prices, especially their lunch specials. In fact, I know some people that get their lunch specials (which is the same as dinner, only cheaper) and then save it for dinner. Their food isn’t very spicy and is really good!

We have been happy with the quality of the cleaning that they have done. They have a neat drive-through service that is very nice if you have kids in the car. I also like the fact that they are locally owned and operated.

We called Best Tech when our washer went out. My husband tried to fix it, but decided that it was better left to the pros. Best Tech came out the very next day after we called them. We had been told that a part would need to be ordered, but Best Tech had it in stock and installed it immediately. The technician that came wasn’t overly friendly, but seemed knowledgeable.

I have several friends that have used Exit Realty, with two realtors in particular. They have really liked the fact that the realtors seem excited about selling houses, and have had a lot of showings scheduled. The realtors publish bi-monthly in the local paper, listing the current houses and property that they have for sale. My brother is currently trying to sell his house with them, and has had a showing almost every day.

Trilobyte is a local internet provider in Tooele. I used their dial-up service. Anytime I had questions, they were very nice, even though I am very computer illiterate. Their service was reliable and I wasn’t disconnected. They have greatly expanded their services since then, and now offer DSL connections, web page design, and other computer services.

Unfortunately, I would never patronize Evonne’s Pet Care again. The once and only time that I took my dog there, I was so unhappy that I considered calling the health department. This groomery is run out of a woman’s home. There were a lot of animals there, and her home was not very clean. Most of all, she was not very nice to my dog. My dog was scared to death after leaving there. The groomer even told me that she hit my dog. She seems to know a lot about dogs, but I would not traumatize my dog by taking her there again.

Mike’s Yard and Garden is a garden supply store that is only in town during the summer. The few times that I have been there, their service was very good. They were very knowledgeable about plants that would thrive locally, and what plants would do well in certain areas/environments. They do seem a little pricey, but have a much better selection that some of the local chain stores.

We have gotten sod from RWB twice. The first time, the sod was very green and did not have a lot of weeds. The second time, the sod was a little drier and had more weeds in it. Overall, though, we have been very happy with RWB. Their price has always been cheaper on sod than anyone else we have checked with and they sell sod very late in the year. My friend had them do hydroseed in her yard and she was very impressed. They came back and reseeded in the areas that did not grow.

If you like hometown, flame-broiled burgers, this is the place for you! Not only does American Burgers sell hamburgers, but shakes, and lots of dinner platters (shrimp, chicken, etc.). It usually takes a little while to get your food, because they cook it fresh, but it is worth the wait. Their shakes are wonderful, and they have a lot of different varieties to choose from.
