The Fort Worth Zoo is the best zoo my family has ever been to. It is a nationally recognized zoo, and has the financial backing of many of Fort Worth Society. The Zoo has a banquet room available for parties and functions. There have even been weddings there. The Zoo School, offered extensively during the summer, and other times throughout the year. The exhibits at the zoo are always kept neat and clean. There are animals of all kinds, and even a few air conditioned areas for the hot Texas summers. The Texas Wild exhibit is wonderful.

My children use one of the Pediatricians in the Fort Worth Pediatrics practice. This physician is wonderful, spends lots of time with us, listens to us, and makes grounded recommendations. We have seen a few of the other physicians in this practice also, and I would recommend any of them. They have a lab on site, and that is very convenient. The front staff is a bit young, and not as professional as I would like. They also collect the co-pay when you check in, instead of when you check out, which I am not really comfortable with. I guess that is small enough to put up with for great medical care.

I recently bought an embroidery machine from Berry Patch Fabrics. The sales person was very patient, and showed me all the machines available. She demonstrated how each one worked, and let me have some hands on practice with them so I could make an educated purchase. I made my purchase, and was offered free classes to bring back my machine to learn better how to use it. I have also taken it back for service, and it has been serviced and repaired for no charge.

The Cowgirl Museum Hall of Fame is a really neat place to visit, but only for a few hours. Don't plan on spending the day there. There is just not that much to do. The exhibits are really interesting, and there is some interactive things for the kids, but not enough to hold their attention for a long period of time. The gift shop is really nice, but somewhat overpriced.

The Fort Worth Museum of Science and History is a really good investment for your family. We bought the family pass, and have really gotten our money's worth. The Omni hosts 3-4 movies at a time, and they change throughout the year. The exhibits also rotate out, making a year membership something that is everchanging. The kids really love Dino Dig, and going downstairs to paint their faces. It is really hard to get my kids away from the big bubbles in the experiment area. This is a true treasure to Fort Worth.

Parks Produce is a wonderful, old fashioned fruit and vegetable stand. A small red building off the main highway, you can't miss it. The people who own and work at the market are very friendly and helpful. It is always stocked with the freshest of foods. If they don't have it, it is because it was not of good quality.

We went to the Animal Shelter to adopt a dog. We found the perfect one. The worker at the Animal Shelter recommended we take her to Rice Animal Hospital to have her checked over, get her lab work, and get her shots. We did, and they were really pleasant there. They got us in immediately for the above work, and then recommended some dental work and a teeth cleaning. I must admit, the hardest part was not letting her eat before the procedure. She did wonderfully, and now this is the only place we take our pet.

I went to Ginny's Health Foods looking for a specific item. While I was there, there were many people there asking advice of the owner about other specific products. She seemed very knowledgeable about all the products and their uses. I was able to locate the item that I was after and complete my purchase. I did notice that there were only one of certain items on the shelf, and many of the products were dusty.

Burleson Pizza Company has really great pizza. There is a buffet every day for lunch, and it is reasonably priced. We first went because the kids got free coupons from their school. They really support other local events. Their billboard always has someone's birthday or event on it. The salad bar is pretty complete, and the buffet has not only pizza, but pasta and other finger foods for kids. Their thin crust pizza is really good.
