I love XS on Charles Street because it’s just so unexpected. This must be the only place in the City where you can get both good sushi (or so I’m told—I don’t like sushi myself) AND breakfast all day. How fun is that? And you get it in a funky atmosphere—exposed brick, nifty bars, big windows. The prices are very reasonable and the servers are friendly and efficient. I usually just get a wrap or a salad for lunch—less creative than other things on their menu, but I’ve always been pleased with their fresh ingredients and flavor combinations.
