Joe & Mimma’s food is ok but it’s priced way too high for what it is. Eggplant Parmesan had bland mozzarella and overcooked eggplant. Salads are ok, but toppings should be fresher. Desserts are pretty good. Servers are nice and friendly. It’s just overpriced for the quality. If you really love Italian and must stay in Danville, go there and split a meal or something, just don’t expect even Olive Garden goodness.

Isabel’s is a really inexpensive and fun place to go for some real Italian pizza. It’s owned and operated by a family straight from Italy. They serve pizza, traditional Italian things like stromboli, and a good tiramisu! You can order in the restaurant or carry out. Their pizza is square, but has a slightly sweet sauce and good cheese and toppings. It’s a nice place to get a bite to eat that’s not your typical pizza house.

Dominic’s is the place to go if looking for an expensive and good meal in a elegant atmosphere. There aren’t many of these restaurants in Danville, so this is a good choice. Dominic’s has two stories, eating upstairs is fun. They’ve got great buffalo wings and other appetizers. I’ve always liked my meal, but never remembered it. They have a nice wine selection and some good desserts. Not the greatest restaurant, but for Danville, it’s pretty good.

Carter’s is a great place to go if looking for just a good home-cooked meal. The restaurant is quite small, but the food is good. Cornbread, turnip greens, macaroni and cheese, fried chicken, fried okra – you name it! Friendly wait staff. Not the place for a big group. However, it’s a good meal for a good price!

Main Street Coffee Emporium has all the charm of a small town coffee shop. Come in often enough, and the friendly girls up front will know you by name and your “regular” order (if you don’t mix it around a lot). Good (not excellent) coffees, chais, etc. Very good Nova Lox Bagel, good sandwiches & desserts. Cozy, quaint atmosphere with Sinatra or Nat Kind Cole playing in the background. Service and friendliness are VERY high up on their best qualities – they will make you happy and serve you with a smile ALWAYS.

Gaslight Grill has all the ambiance and elegance of a New York City restaurant – but in Danville! The menu is stunning and the food excellently prepared by the chefs from New York! All the dishes we got were superbly seasoned with mouthwatering side dishes. The desserts are not to be missed. They do close at 10 on weeknights, so be aware. But it’s an awesome choice for a really, really nice dinner out!

The Brown Bean is the Best Coffee/Tea/Lunch spot in all of Danville. The atmosphere is quaint and charming. It has a dining room with perhaps 20 glass tables with pretty tablecloths underneath, a side booth, and a couch with two chairs. It gets very busy during lunch time, but otherwise it’s very quiet – perfect place for a lady to sit down with a friend and enjoy excellent sandwiches, soup or dessert, along with gourmet coffee, cappuccino, or chai. They even serve wine, if desired. Lovely music played is sold in the Gingerbread House, which is actually attached to The Brown Bean, accessible through the dining room back door. The servers are friendly, and though you order up front, they bring everything to your table. I’ve never been unhappy with anything I’ve ordered, except for espresso and cappuccino. They don’t seem to know how to make a really good one, but if you like drinks with flavors, you won’t notice it. Highly, highly recommended for friends, mother/daughter, sister/sister!!!! Lovely place! And shop afterwards in Gingerbread House!
