My entire family of 10 plus extended family all use Dr. Payne and have never had a bad experience. We’ve had regular fillings, root canals, bridges, etc. Definitely some pain w/the last, but the dentist did it correctly. We’re always treated very nicely and seen pretty quickly upon coming in. I only once had a really, really rough oral hygenist, but every other experience was great.

Dr. Sherwood and his office took care of both my brother and my wisdom teeth coming out one morning. They were very friendly and kind and let us know exactly what would happen. We both awoke after initial anesthesia wore off and viola – our wisdom teeth were out! We were sent home with some hydrocodone, which made me sick, but took care of my brother perfectly. Neither of us had ANY difficulty afterwards or complications (besides what you’d expect from that type of mouth surgery!). We could eat soft foods in a few days (milkshakes, soup, pudding until then). When I needed a different drug than hydrocodone, they immediately prescribed something else. It didn’t work as well, but it was all they could do. Overall a marvelous experience. Small billing issue later, which got resolved quickly. Go to Dr. Sherwood if you’re getting your wisdom teeth out!

Women’s Health Care Center could not be nicer! They have a lovely, clean and spacious waiting room with many books and magazines. They make you feel so at ease and are so friendly, too. The doctors take their time with you, the rooms aren’t cold or too “sterile” feeling – warm, clean, friendly. Dr. Lahti was especially wonderful and explained everything and answered every question. I’d never go anywhere else if I lived in Danville.

The top nail buffing with the electronic metal buffer REALLY hurt and I almost wanted to stop! Everything else didn’t hurt too much (except the super-fast filing at the end). My polish stayed on for my wedding the next day (needed a bit of touch up from setting up chairs/tables work), I didn’t get any infected nails, but I took these nails all off by Monday. If this is what manicures are suppose to be like, then I guess it’s an ok place. But I though it really hurt too much.

Pino’s Pizza and Italian Restaurant actually was good for the price. It’s a little restaurant, but the served pretty quick and it wasn’t expensive. The food wasn’t 4-star, but the salads, the spaghetti, and the linguini were all good and hearty. Not the cleanest place, but I wouldn’t call it dirty. Good stop for a quick meal that’s doesn’t cost a lot and tastes good.

Wing Shack is a very appropriate name for this place. It’s small like a shack, and they serve great wings! A little spicy, a little greasy, and full of meat, they were good! The mozzarella sticks were really good, too, along with a glass of Coca-cola. It’s a nice place to just go for some snacks, I haven’t tried anything more substantial than that. Right by the Laundromat so you can eat while your laundry runs!

I tried Stratford Inn once and my whole family was disappointed. It was a group of 10 and they gave us a private dining room and were very nice, but the food wasn’t good at all. It was very overpriced and not tasty…. Nothing ordered was really enjoyed – bland would be the best descriptive word. I’d try elsewhere.

Just because this has the same name as the great BBQ place in Reidsville, VA, don’t be fooled. They’re entirely different. This BBQ could really be passed on. While everything there was ok, I haven’t been back after my first try. It just wasn’t worth it. BBQ had very little flavor, Brunswick stew same way, even the sweetened tea wasn’t that memorable. Id’ keep looking, this one wasn’t a winner.

If you’re just looking for good old-time diner food, Schoolfield Lunch is really the place to go! You can’t be the type person that freaks out about sticky tables or dusty salt and pepper shakers. It’s old-timey and probably doesn’t rake in that much. But the food was really good and you feel transported back into the 50’s. The rolls were soft, yeasty, and a little sweet, the vegetables were country-style and stewed, and the meats were typical (fried chicken, etc). I enjoyed it for what it is… a stab from the past.

I’ve always got a good meal at Los Tres Magueys. They’re always fast. The chip and dip are great and the enchiladas are really tasty! (Good sauce and tasty cheese.) The churros are wonderful, as is the fried ice cream. The price you can’t beat. It’s a fun atmosphere, great for a family or just a few people.
