We live in a smaller town with few chain restaurants. Applebee's is pretty much the only one. We love going there though. It is kid friendly yet has a bar for those kidless nights. I have to say my favorite foods at Applebee's are their apetizers. We always order the appetizer platter and share. For $9 you get a good amount of food. My son loves going there for the balloons. They also give the kids crayons and a book to color (many places do not do this anymore).

This is truely a unique place. They offer a very nice restaurant on one side and a bakery on the other. The bakery has a decent selection of Italian treats, some of my very favorite things....

Canolli's, Biscotti etc. The restaurant has the best Italian food on this side of NY. The prices are very fair. Not a long wait for lunch.

My family loves Stever's candy. It is by far the best candy I have ever had. They have so many unique treats, my son loves going there. We always get the "bacon & eggs" around Easter. My husband always grabs a bunch to bring into work. The prices are a little high but you are paying for home made quality candy and chocolate. You will not be disappointed. A truely unique shop.

This is a very good and reputable Chiropractic office in Rochester. The doctors and their staff are very professional and are accomodating to one's busy schedule. The office is a clean and professional environment. They are great at keeping on schedule and getting you in and out quickly. Billing was always accurate and easy to understand. I would recommend them to anyone. I even saw them when I was pregnant and dealing with back pain.

We put a few of our contractors in this hotel when needed. It was convenient to the job site they were working at and was very very cheap. We would negotiate weekly rates and the hotel management was always very flexible with our guys. One of our contractors stayed there for 4 years while on a long term job. This hotel is not at all luxory. I would hesitate to take my family there, it does has a "flea bag" motel reputation. Again if you just need some where cheap to stay,, this is your place!

We held a few business meetings at the Woodcliff Lodge and Conference Center. I was very impressed with how beautiful the place was. Other conference centers feel stuffy and ordinary. The Woodcliff is decorated beautifully and very classy. The size of our group was approximately 15 people but I know the host larger groups. They provided a lot of the technical equipment we needed to operate our presentations. We had a catered lunch provided by Woodcliff as well. It was very good and again a classy menu. We will most definately be back for our next annual meeting.

I tool my son to Hobby House Toys and we both absolutely loved it. It is a very small store, not a lot of room to walk around or lug a stroller but the had a great selection of finer toys. They carry a big selection of Thomas the Train engines and tracks, some of which are hard to find. I thought some of the stuff was a little expensive but most Thomas the Train stuff is wherever you go. They had some unique toys and some great learning toys I had when I was little. They are absolutely worth checking out, especially if you have some one tough to buy a gift for or are looking for a unique toy.

I took my son to gymnastics at the training center when he was a toddler. They have a great facility in a good location. the class was an hour long and was reasonably priced. My son really seemed to enjoy it. They have a parents observation day that gave us a chance to see his progress. However he had on teacher there who barely spoke to t he children. Children at that age (3 years) need direction and interaction and positive reinforcement. This teacher provided none of that. I stopped going because of her. I may try to bring my son back when he is old enough for the next class,

I have attended a few wakes at Amigone Funeral Home. I cannot say enough about the staff at Amigone. They were sensitive and understanding in helping with preparations for the loss of our loved ones. The place is a very well kept, beautiful place where you can grieve comfortably. They really handle everything the days of the wake so you can focus on being comforted by family and friends. I hope I don;t have to go back there any time soon but should something unexpected happen I will trust Amigone to help with the arrangements.

My family always enjoys going to Martins Fantasy Island. My husband and I have been going there since we were kids. It is a good size park with quite a few things to do. You can camp in their Camp Sites located pretty much right there to make a weekend out of your visit. I think it is kind of expensive but I guess most would think it is average for a amusement park. The nice part about staying at the camp site is that you can go back to your site and eat lunch or dinner and avoid the high priced food at the part. The rides are great, a good mix for all ages.
