My Dead Kitten and my Fake Yorkie

Monday, May 18, 2009
I have been a customer for over 14 years. The store used to be my go to place. As of today, May 2009 I will never step foot in that store and will tell everyone I meet not to go there either. The quality of service has gone down. The quality of pets has gone down. The puppy room is deplorable and the store is now only filled with a bunch of teenagers who are not knowledgeable in the care of animals. Management is bad. I bought a Maine Coon kitten in January 2009 after numerous vet visits, medications, treatments etc. we just had to put him down on Saturday. His name was Wakefield and he had F I P. A fatal virus that comes from cats that are kept in catteries and exposed to other cats feces. I also bought a very expensive "Yorkshire Terrier" or so I thought. Turns out he is not a Yorkie, but instead a Yorkie Mix. This is either a case of false advertising or them not checking where they got their puppy. His "bogus papers" list Hunte Corporation as the broker and Karen Gathright as the breeder. I called to let them know about the kitten and they pretty much didn't care. I will never shop there again and I will tell everyone I know not to shop there either.
