I recently visited the great lawn area of the park. It is basically a big open grassy field. Not much of anything to do on it (other than when there are special events going on) but it was just nice to have a place for my child to just run and play without running into anything. It would also be a nice area for a picnic. The entire park is rather large and offers several playgrounds and water features
