I really can't say enough good things about Athena Flora. I had a general idea of what I wanted, but Athena really brought it to life. She listened to everything I said about the style and tone I wanted, looked at the colors for the wedding party and my gown and made suggestions that were completely on the mark. The flowers were more beautiful that I had imagined. We had a Jewish wedding, and Athena did the chuppa as well. It was really amazing - absolutely a work of art. Not only was the finished product great, but Athena was super easy to work with, great about returning phone calls and emails. What a great experience!

I first met Michael when I was looking for a wedding photographer. When I saw his work, I knew that he was the one. It is so perfect! I have had tons of compliments on my wedding photos. We have been back to Michael for portraits as well. First when I was pregnant and then for our new baby boy. The only downside is price. Not only was the wedding package expensive, but print prices are stunningly high. Some of the photos of our son were $75 per print! Although the prices are very steep, you really can't beat the quality of the product.

fireplace with lots of comfortable seating; a great bakery cafe with good things to eat. - Honey Bear Cafe. Free WiFi access is available in case you actually want to work. Best of all, Third Place has a great selection of both new and used books. This is a great place to pick up used children's books as well. The prices are very good and they always have interesting "featured" books at the front of the store. Parking is a breeze in the on site parking lot.

Atlas is a great place for breakfast. The restaurant is very roomy so the wait, even on the weekends, is usually minimal. The food is great/ The all season scramble, asparagas, cherry tomatoes, mushrooms and chevre is my personal favorite. One of the best things about Atlas is that it is great for kids. The staff is very patient and the service is quick - avoiding hunger induced melt downs. Atlas is in University Village so, unless there is a Husky game, parking is usually a snap.

You cannot beat Portage Bay for breakfast. The staff is always friendly, without "hovering" and the food is great. Of course the best part about Portage Bay is the pancake bar. They bring you a stack of pancakes and you add your own toppings - berries, fresh whipped cream, etc. It is the perfect way to start a weekend morning!

Red Mill is, without a doubt, the best burger in Seattle. The onion rings are also some of my favorites - yummy cornmeal batter. Chicken and vegitarian options are available. The atmosphere is super laid back and the prices are reasonable. You can guarantee a line almost any time of the day - but it is well worth it! Outdoor seating is great for the summer - and gives you somewhere to hang out while you wait for your burgers. Beware - No plastic. Cash or checks only.

Chinoise is perfect for a casual sushi dinner. The sushi is always fresh and they have great options for those who don't eat sushi. My favorite non-sushi dish is the Buddhist Tofu - Yum! While the atmosphere and the food get a thumbs up, the staff can be a little cranky and some times slow. For the most part, it's worth suffering through the bad service to get to the great food.

Another success by Tom Douglas. The food is wonderful - no surprise there. The chickpea fries (I know it sounds weird) are not to be missed. They are my favorite thing on the menu. The dip sampler is also a great appetizer and the warm fresh pita is just perfect! Definitely worth a try. Of course, as with all downtown restaurants, parking is tricky. However, the food is worth it.

have had both good and bad experiences here. The vets are great and they are especially good with our, somewhat cranky, dog. They are generally able to squeeze you in for an emergency and I love that they have weekend hours. However, my one complaint is with the front desk staff. Calls to make an appointment or to ask a question are often handled by people who just can't really be bothered. This is not really a big deal when you are calling to make an appointment, but can be very frustrating if you are calling with a serious (or what you think is serious) question or concern about your pet's health.

I cannot say enough good things about this business. The owner/operators are so friendly, it is like going to visit friends when you drop off your clothes. They always remember our names and ask about our son. They go above and beyond the ordinary - carrying your dry cleaning in an out of your car. The quality of the work is excellent as well - we are always please when we pick up our clothes. They are open late - until 7pm on weeknights, which makes pickups on the way home from work a breeze. This is a great little business and I highly recommend it!
