inexpensive, educational, fun.

The Santa Ana Zoo is a small zoo tucked away in the city. The Zoo has a nice outdoor picnic area outside the actual zoo. Think ahead, and pack a lunch. Inside, they have a handful of interesting animals. They run heavy with primates. There is also an elephant ride, and a petting zoo. They offer a self guided tour for $5 at the gift shop. The few concessions stands will not leave your pockets empty. The snacks and drinks are reasonably priced. There is also a birthday party package available, and different party areas. A playground and a train will also be of interest to the little ones. The zoo is inexpensive but you really get more for your money.
