This place was the only jewelry store on the block who would (or could) replace my watch battery, and that I appreciated as well as the speed they did it and the price which was cheap. They of course wanted to sell me some jewelry too but were very nice when I said I didn't have the time and just gave me a card and said to come back another time.

I love Carmine's. It is a staple activity for when people come in from out of town. The meals are huge and reasonably priced so everyone can share and try a lot of things. The servers I have had are informative and will help you if you don't know what to get. It can get a little loud, but if you go a little later in the evening when it empties out it is just fine. Another thing - try the Titantic, which is a super delicious dessert the whole table can share.

Everyone in NY has been to Joe's in Chinatown for Chinese. Its dumplings are some of the best around, and the rest of the food is similarly tasty. You will wait for a table on most nights, but it is worth it. You also have to sit with strangers mostly with a lazy susan in the middle to have the food passed around so it is fun to go with big groups of people. Don't visit the bathrooms here - they are unbeliveably dirty.

I always rent cars here. It is located at a gas station in NJ, very accessible by bus from Manhattan at a fraction of Manhattan renting prices. Also, they don't have that huge of an inventory of cars so you usually get a bigger one than you reserved. The service is prompt and they don't charge you for extra stuff and unexpected costs which is nice. It is a little hard to get home from the place but even if you have to get a cab, the difference in price is worth it.

I took a tour of this printing shop (no longer in operation) and was surprised at how interesting it was. The tour guide was very information and friendly, telling information about the shop's historical value as the place the first Book of Mormon was printed in an unheard of quantity for the day - 5,000 copies. He led us through the shop and we learned of the printing world which few ever see. The exhibits were amazing and again, surprising interesting.

I took a ride on this historic railroad as a college student. It was a dance onboard the train and although it was fun and different, what really bothered me was that it was sooo cold! There wasn't any kind of heater on board or anything so while we were all dressed up pretty, we had to keep bundled up to stay warm. Dancing onboard the train was also interesting because the train is old so it was jolty. Fun times and memories though.

Dilly's is one of the best sandwich places in Tempe. Their roast beef, called the Yahoo, is just delicious and they serve really good cookies too. The sandwiches are on plain bread but it is toasted to perfection. Very quick service and great location right next to ASU campus. You can usually find good coupons for this place in campus publications.

This is one of the best dollar stores I've ever been to. I think the best thing is the huge variety of gift bags, tissue paper and gift cards. The gift bags are the same quality and cuteness as those that sell for $4.50 at Hallmark. I've also gotten great picture frames, baby gifts, and holiday decorations. Usually dollar stores are full of junk but this place is worth stopping into.

Gecko Grill is just your basic mexican place with good prices and good food. Nothing flashy but also nothing to complain about. The service is fast, the serving sizes are generous and my favorite are the enchiladas with green sauce. Great for a quick, inexpensive meal that will fill you and give you leftovers for the next day.

I loved eating here on lunch break while working in downtown Phoenix. The line was always very long but moved amazingly fast. They gave me huge portions and nice hot tortillas. I liked the outdoor seating area with misters and the inside was nice too although should have been bigger because of the crowds. I wish there were more Qdobas around, the closest I can usually find is Chipotle.
