The only time I went to Cottage Yarns was when they were having a sale, so it was extra crowded, but it is so packed with yarn and shelves that you can't move around. They also take the yarn out of the box and put it straight up on the shelves without taking it out of the package, so you can't look at it while you're shopping. There are so many good yarn stores in the Bay Area, there is very little reason to shop here.
