Great zoo. It's a little hot for people and animals during the summer. However, since New Orleans doesn't get that cold it's great from September through early June. The animals are great--good selection, well kept staging areas, good indoor reptile exhibit. The best taffy in the world can be bought at their vendors! Ride the camel, see the elephant feeding/show, and visit the nursery for any new arrivals.
