I love visiting King's Dominion with my 8 month old and almost two year old. They love riding around taking in all of the action, and spending the afternoon in Lil' Barefoot Beach in
WaterWorks. There are areas where the water is only 6 inches deep, with a deeper area with a play structure for toddlers just feet away. I can stay with the baby while keeping the toddler practically within arm's reach, which is a necessity with two under two! The toddler structure has plenty of squirting water and toys, and it even has a slide like the big kids' pool. The slide is engineered perfectly where it's just long enough and the water is just deep enough to keep them from getting hurt, but shallow enough that they can immediately sit up without getting frightened by being under water.
Unless the adults in the family are amusement park enthusiasts with time to visit, the family pass isn't a great value with two small children. It's a nice addition to our Summer calendar, but if the passes hadn't been gifts we never would have gotten them.

While I enjoyed browsing here, I didn’t find any treasures that I had to have. The staff was nice enough, but it was very cluttered and the aisles were too small for me to walk through with a stroller. This is not a place to take young children with breakable items low on the shelves and tables, but that’s to be expected. The prices were a bit high for what I was looking for.

We used Smiley’s to replace a severely cracked windshield in my fiancé’s pickup truck. They did a good job. It’s been over a year with no breaks in the seal. We were able to have it replaced the day after we called, at a time we designated. We didn’t have any problems dealing with them and didn’t feel as if we were getting overcharged.

I was able to find great suits for my sons for our wedding here at a good price. The salespeople were very helpful in helping me find the right fits and most comfortable sets. The best thing is you can get back a large portion of the price if you resale since suits will usually only be worn once or twice and will be in immaculate condition.
They also had the cutest accessories and dresses for little girls, especially their collection of pageant dresses! Almost makes me want another baby… almost.

If you’re always on the prowl for a great new cookbook ask Anna for recommendations, she has never done me wrong! Well organized, clean, with a friendly, knowledgable staff.

This was my first stop in my gown hunt. I was able to pick out a few gowns before ever being offered assistance. I suppose the gowns were fine, just not the perfect one for me.
The store is large and very well laid out. They have a huge selection in all price ranges. The sales woman stayed as close as humanly possible while I was trying on the gowns (what was I going to do? stow away a big fluffy gown in my diaper bag??). That made me felt uneasy discussing the gowns with my 'buying party'.

The cake decorator (Jamie?) has always been fabulous at creating unique and fun cakes! They always have a huge selection of premade but fresh baked fresh goods ready to buy, and samples of their goodies for you to try.

I was so amazed when I first entered the Memories Galore off of Hull St.! They have the biggest and best selection of scrapbooking supplies of any store I have ever shopped, especially of paper, which is my personal weakness. There are around 8 lanes of just paper! The employees are so helpful and enjoy giving ideas and tips on making pages, and the store offers monthly specials and classes. When you walk in you almost feel as if you are joining an exclusive club, or family.
The prices are similar to and often better than those of the larger stores such as Michael's.
After visiting this store I will never shop another mass merchandiser for scrapbooking supplies!

I enjoy taking my children to visit Dr. Tilghman. He is a great pediatrician with a very kind bedside manner and never minds listening to a mom's fears. We always get to see him, never another doctor, and rarely wait more than ten minutes. His office is perfectly suited for little ones, with plenty of toys in the waiting rooms, both sick and well rooms. Dr. Tilghman has always come across as very knowledgeable, nonjudgemental and patient.
