Have eaten there three times. The first two times were fine, average food but good service, except the second time there were some stale chips with dried salsa on them. The third time I came rather late but they assured me that it was fine. They failed to bring any chips or salsa or water until I tracked someone down and asked halfway through the meal. Since they brought my chips and salsa halfway through the meal I requested containers to carry them home. The waiter refused because he said people order more chips and salsa before they are about to leave, so they have the policy of not allowing people to take their leftover chips and salsa home. I pointed out that they had failed to bring it timely, and I also pointed out some chips in the basket that had dried salsa on them and asked if they were reusing the chips and salsa. The young man just looked at me but did not answer. He went and told the other waiters (in Spanish) what I had asked and they all laughed that I had noticed it. I will never eat there again...who knows whether or not they are reusing chips and salsa left over from the various tables??!! Yuck!

Just at there tonight and it was so peaceful. I have only eaten Thai food a few times so I wasn't really sure what to eat. However, I chose the beef basil stir-fry with Jasmine rice ($10), and it was just amazing. The food was obviously very fresh and cooked to order. The owner personally came to speak with me about the various dishes, which was appreciated. The prices were very reasonable and the portion size was just right. I will definitely return soon.

Have eaten at most of the Mexican restaurants in Yorktown and this one is definitely the best, in my opinion. The menu has a lot of choice (beef, chicken, seafood, vegetarian), with all the regular Tex-Mex choices, but it also has other exceptional choices. They have a T-bone steak (about 1/4" thick) with a shrimp and veggie sauce that is amazing. Another great choice, at about $11, is the DeGallado (you can choose beef, chicken, or combo), has a sauce, and an amazing white cheese and onions, tomatoes, bell peppers. Also, try their Mexican guacamole (not the gingo-style). Fantastic. Now if I could only find a place in Virginia that has authentic soppapias PLEASE let me know.

Pop's is like a diner, better than fast food but nothing dressy. Too my elderly aunt (84) and we had a non-special meal. They gave us a lot of food (we both had enough for a second meal at home), and the price was average. However, if you get the daily special it is really a great deal. The place is always busy. I will definitely go back when I need a quick meal.

Originally went there to use their wireless until my cable was installed. Ate a steak, which was okay, but too expensive. Second time, I ate a sandwich which was good but WAY too expensive for the price. The service, when you could get their attention, was great, but when there were not a lot of people (when I went to use their wireless, so as not to take tables away from their mealtimes) the wait staff were largely invisible. The restaurant is clean, and the quality of the food seems to be above average but for the price I can go to Panera for a better, cheaper meal and spend hours on their wireless.

Just ate there last night, and while I normally go out of my way to share the good points and rarely share bad, the food was just awful. Have eaten in 43 states and 10 countries and I have to say this is the WORST Italian food I have ever eaten. I will be going back to La Bella in Hampton (no affiliation, just great food!).
First I tried the Shrimp & Scallops with Votke sause: the sauce was interesting, different, but good, but the fish was fishy and smelled bad. Tried to eat it but after about 5 bites had to send it back. Next I tried the spaghetti and meatballs. The sauce has a weird (for me at least) spice that tasted funky, and the meatballs had some sort of filler that made them taste like they were from Sam's Club or BJs.
Oh, there is one good thing about that restaurant. My server was Teresa and she was a great waitress, very attentive.

Regent University is an amazing university in that everyone in every field chooses to do their job (their calling) with excellence, from the leadership, to the professors, to the staff. There is a constant emphasis upon finding areas of "disconnect" to improve the quality of education. There is a global emphasis and a desire to learn and grow from an understanding of diverse cultures, peoples, nations. The professors are absolutely top notch, and they care deeply for their students. They willingly meet with students (sometimes the adjunct professors are more difficult to reach, I admit), counsel, and pray with and for their students and classes. Every class and professor, every department in every school within the university are constantly evaluated as to their effectiveness, and improvement changes are swift.
Never thought I would find a school that could measure up to Texas A&M, but even though it is one-tenth the size, Regent University does measure up,and in some ways surpass TAMU. I highly recommend it (and I am not an employee, or have any family members who are employees).
