I wanted to lift weights to get into tip-top shape for the many marathons that I run in. I have to admit that I was initially scared that I would "bulk up," but I didn't. Mike Volksdorf is my trainer, and not only does he push me, he motivates and holds me accountable as well as helps me with my eating habits and keeps me on track. Because of the weight training three days a week, I have NEVER once been sore after an 18 or 20 mile run, nor have I EVER been sore after a marathon! This was not the case a few years ago when I ran my first marathon and did not lift weights; I was sore and couldn't walk for days. My body shape has changed, I can see definition in my muscles and lunges really do work to make your butt look better! Mike, his wife Dawn and the rest of the trainers are top-notch.
