However, this is not located in Grosse Pointe. It is in Harper Woods, I believe. Marshall Fields is located in Eastland Mall. Maybe there is some type of city dividing line that divides have the mall into Harper Woods, Grosse Pointe and Detroit?
Anyway, I really like Marshall Fields (formerly Hudsons). I like their sales and clearance events. I rarely pay full price here. I also search out coupons to use at their store. They are in the weekend papers. I like that you can shop for shoes, clothing, and get some lunch or chocolates there, as well as get makeup and hair and jewelry accessories. Parking is no problem since it is in the Eastland Mall. You can even valet. You could step out and have lunch at Olgas, too! People who work there are nice enough, also.

This store is one of those quick stops for milk or bread or pizza. They have EXCELLENT breadsticks!! Big and thick and very reasonable in price! Parking is metered and not enough, in my opinion. Located in front or on side street. You can get beer, wine, lunchmeat, pizza, cigarettes, candy, toilet paper, pretty much everything at this party store. Staff is nice enough and prices are very much in line with other stores.

This is the closest Gap to me so I have to shop there or drive 35 minutes to Lakeside Gap! I don't really have a choice! Anyway, LOVE Gap stores!! I only shop the sale/clearance racks and find something every time I go! I get my jeans for $10 or less usually. The staff at this store is very nice, but the store is quite small, something that I wish could change. It gets very congested inside, with lines developing after 2 people! The lines run into the clothes!! Parking is limited to behind it in the metered lot OR if you can find a metered spot on the street, Kercheval, and can parallel park!! LOL

I find that this line of clothing is overpriced. While they have good clearance and sale items, I would not pay $40 for a pair of shorts, especially when kids ruin the clothing quickly and/or grow out of it quickly. The selection is very cute and in style but the prices turn me away. I only browse the online site to see what is new and if a line that I am interested in goes on sale, I will venture to a store to see if it is there. That's another thing, they have "lines", like the Ladybug line or the Safari themed line. They sell clothing and pjs as well as dresses for the girls. The store is split, one half for boys and one half for girls. One thing that is a POSITIVE is that the store at Lakeside offers a video and a few chairs so the kids can sit and be occupied while parents shop. Not sure if this happens at this store but that is a plus. Parking is located behind the building and is metered. I also find that annoying.

I consider this a "nightspot" as opposed to a family spot, although you will see families in this place. You can get lunch or dinner or just hang with friends for a drink after work or after hours....
I consider this a "nightspot" as opposed to a family spot, although you will see families in this place. You can get lunch or dinner or just hang with friends for a drink after work or after hours. This business gets busy and parking is limited. Not enough of it and it is metered. The staff is nice enough and prices are pretty fair. You can get soup and salad, as well as sandwiches and dinner entrees. Drinks (alcholic too) are available as well as some desserts.

This business is located in the strip mall at the corner of Moross and Mack Avenue, right next to St. John Hospital. It gets a lot of traffic, by those eating and those NOT eating. It extends into the strip traffic and people can walk by you as you eat. I don't like that part but you can eat inside of the restaurant, too. This pizza is very good, as are the salads. Service is with a smile and fast, too. Prices are in line with other pizza places. You can shop for a book at Barnes & Noble when you are done, or pick up your glasses at SVS! Other things to do before and after a lunch at Buddys!

This restaurant is suitable for families, couples or individuals. It located at the corner of Vernier and Mack Avenue, in a strip. Parking is limited to across the street and it is metered. This restaurant gets busy but the wait isn't too long. Great spaghetti and lasagna! You can get a variety of items here at reasonable prices. Staff are helpful and accomodating as well as fast at what they do. I would recommend a visit to anyone.

You have got to try this thick Chicago style pizza if you are in the Detroit area!! This place is hoppin but its well worth the wait. There are other things on the menu but nothing compares to this pizza. Go with an empty stomach because you will leave feeling STUFFED!! LOL The salads are good, too. One piece of this pizza can fill me up! Parking is pretty much nil downtown. You have to park in a garage or structure and then walk to this establishment. Staff are very nice, wait is quick and prices are very reasonable. I gotta say that I don't even have room for dessert when I am done eating this pizza!!

You can bring your family or go it alone or go as a couple! This place has EXCELLENT food and service. You just HAVE to try their ice cream liquor drinks...DELICIOUS and filling!! Its true that the neighborhood is not all that inviting but inside is totally different atmosphere!! Parking is small, although there is a side street to use. Prices are right in line with other restaurants. Staff is very friendly and accomodating. I highly recommend!!!

I recently visited this store, looking for a ribbon cookie cutter, the kind of ribbon that you see for Breast Cancer Awareness or Autism Awareness. I saw them on the internet for $5. Called here and they had them for $1!! I immediately ran up and was quite happy with my first visit to this business! Located on Nine Mack Drive, right behind Mack Avenue and off 9 Mile Road, this business is small but carries everything for cake decorating, cookie baking, or any type of baking need. They have lots of cutters to choose from, as well as edible decorations and colored icing. The man who helped me was very nice and very helpful. They take credit cards and checks, as well as cash. Parking can get busy since it is in a strip mall and parking is shared with other businesses.
