I purchase Halloween items at Old Navy; however, I purchase them after Halloween for the next Halloween. I love to pick up their Halloween themed t-shirts for the kids to use next year for 99 cents each!! Normally $10!! I also shop for black sweatpants because those are pretty much a staple for costumes to keep the kids warm here in Michigan when the trick or treat. I like the Halloween themed boxers for boys, too! Halloween themed socks are always a good thing to pick up, for cheap, too!

I purchase Halloween costumes at my local CVS store. The way to save mone, however, is to buy the costumes when they are clearanced out, AFTER Halloween, to use for the NEXT year. I purchase items for 90% off!! If the costume is $20, I get it for $2!!! That's how I purchase all my Halloween items, too. I get the grab bags for 19 cents for 40 of them, black cauldrons for 10 cents EACH!! I get the Halloween pencils for my kids to pass out in class for 10 cents for a pack of 10!! My advice would be to look ahead to the following year when shopping! You can save LOTS of money that way!! Have fun!!

Above is a link to the home page for Buddy's Pizza. This is an EXCELLENT pizza place! It is located in Warren, on Old Chicago Road, at 13 Mile but is also facing Van Dyke so you could access it via Van Dyke, too. Sounds like it is only about a mile or so away from you. This place has EXCELLENT salads, too! GREAT place to dine in and then take home left over pizza for breakfast the next a.m. or lunch or dinner, heating it up in the microwave!!
http://www.buddyspizza.com/discounts.htm
pizza coupons to print and use at your visit, too! Parking lot can get crowded, as well as the restaurant but you should enjoy your meal!!

This business is located at about 18.5 mile and Van Dyke. It has a HUGE selection of auto parts for older vehicles as well as newer vehicles. My brother, who is a mechanic, goes here all the time for parts for vehicles he works on. He says you should be able to find what you need here. They only take cash and checks, no credit cards. Their hours are 8-5 M-F and 8-3 Saturdays, not open on Sundays.

first, check this website for more information. I called and their hours must have changed because their recording says 10-5 and the website says 10-6. I haven't been to the Habitat for Humanity Restore in Detroit so can't compare but I have heard of that place. Their number is 313-653-4890.
This place has lots to choose from, depending on what you are looking for. You can find things cheaper than retail but again, it can be hit or miss due to what you are looking for. It is located BEHIND a building so if you go, don't get lost! LOL Click on the map directions provided at the website. You may not realize it is there, if you don't.

This store has LOTS of good merchandise to choose from, many brand new with tags. The few times I have been there, they seem to have a decent selection of furniture and non-clothing items. The parking lot seems acceptable for the size of the store, but on holidays, like this past Monday, Labor Day, many items are 50% off the already clearanced price and it gets busy and congested. I think the selection is very good at this one, as well as at the other one located at 45550 Van Dyke in Utica (586) 323-6372.

This one is larger than the one on Gratiot and has an even better selection than the above store.
Here is a listing of all the centers located here:

This is a cool place for the kids to have fun and cool off! It gives adults a good reason to get wet, too! LOL
This small water park is located within another park here in St. Clair Shores. Memorial/Veterans Park is located at Masonic and Jefferson in St. Clair Shores. You need to be a resident of St. Clair Shores to get into this park and be able to utilize Splash Zone. Those not familiar with how to get a park pass, go to Civic Arena and get them there for $5.
The kids can also play on the playground, play on the sand at the beach and/or have a picnic here, as well as fish off the pier if they like.
Plenty of parking located across the street! There is a bathroom located here, too and there is talks of creating a concession stand! Bring your own food and drink!

This starts 8/19 through 10/1 here in Michigan this year. It is located in Holly, Michigan and is a HUGE, FUN gathering of people from all over! Each weekend has a different theme. This is such a unique event! There are hundreds, perhaps even 1,000 vendors, at this place. They sell ANYTHING and EVERYTHING related to a renaissance festival of the old! You can get wooden swords, as well as real ones! You can buy walking sticks, jewelry, clothing, knick knacks for the house, wands! Face painting, pony rides, festival rides are all available for the kids!
There is jousting that takes place, too! You can get beer and HUGE drumsticks of chicken, bigger than your hand!! LOL Just like the days of old!
The cost is usually about $15, or more, for an adult but look for coupons to save a few bucks! Arrive early because it gets busy from about noon on! We get there when the open at 10 a.m. and usually leave about noon with the kids. This year, I believe we will be going back with just my husband and I for some "adult" fun! LOL

GREAT ortho practice! My son just broke his left wrist over the weekend. He went to see them today and I was quite happy with the service I received. The doctor I saw was Dr. James Lee at this practice. He is their pediatric ortho. They also have a hand and wrist doc, Dr. Dietz, as well as a knee doc, Dr. Perry, and a foot doc. Each doc seems to specialize in something particular. I called at 9 a.m. and we were there at 1 p.m. My son was casted about 1:20 and it took about 15 minutes. Very simple. The staff was very nice, also.
Parking is plenty, since this practice is located at St. John Hospital and you can use the structure or park behind the hospital or utilize valet. Since we had a visit to them, they do cover the charge for parking in the structure or behind the hospital.
We only waited 15 minutes to get called back, 10 min. for the doc to come in and talk to us and then the 15 min. for my son's casting. I wish all that time had moved quicker but that is my only complaint!

I just LOVE Target!! I have no complaints about Target, period. They have excellent sales, clearances and ENDCAP specials!! I find almost all my items on those darn endcaps!! LOL I frequent 2 Targets in my area, so I will review the Clinton Townshipl area one here. This Target is located on Gratiot Avenue, just past 14 Mile Road. I love their hours, 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. because I can get the kids off to school and then head to Target, if I need to. The parking lot is very accomodating. Employees seem helpful enough at this Target. Its strange how different Targets, depending on location, will carry different items. This Target carried some foot stools that I purchased, but decided I had purchased too many and returned 2 to the Eastland Target. The personnel person said "these just won't sell here." as she took back my return. I thought that strange that they sell some merchandise at one and different merchandise at another based upon location...these Targets are only 6 miles from each!!
