When we need a day off and don't have a ton of money to spend (when is that not the case??) we love going to the art museum -- we're very blessed to live in this relatively small city and still have such a lovely art museum -- there are all manner of displays, modern art, cultural art, classic art, special exhibits that are so interesting --
They have children's programs all through the year, Thursday nights they have jazz and an adult's only evening in the art museum, and they have a lovely gift shop with beautiful things for reasonable prices.
