We contacted Magic Ryan to entertain at our child's fourth birthday party. Based on his website, information and recommendations we were very excited! Unfortunately, Ryan himself was already triple booked on our party date, so he was kind enough to recommend one of his alternates. I was not exactly thrilled with the man who worked in his absentia, but he was professional, on-time and did his best and did everything that he promised. He was a skilled magician and my only complaint was that he was not really able to capture the kids' attention for much of his long show (however, these were mostly 3-6 year olds, so that is a hard group to entertain). If you go with Magic Ryan, be sure that if he recommends an alternate you know he is as good as Ryan himself. We were a bit disappointed, but the party was a great success and our child had fun, so at the end it was okay.
$250 is a lot of money to spend on an hour's worth of okay, though, so make sure you get your money's worth!
